Remembering Your Why: When Life Distracts Us from Our Dreams

Some days, everything seems to move faster than we can keep up with. Responsibilities, distractions, doubts… they pile up, and before we realize it, we find ourselves drifting away from what we truly want to build.
Lately, I’ve been feeling the deep importance of staying committed to our projects, to what moves us from within, without letting external (or internal) noise pull us off track.
I’ve talked about this with several people, and through those conversations, I realized something powerful: every time I was trying to motivate them, I was also speaking to myself. I was reminding myself why I want what I want and how essential it is to keep that vision alive.
If you’ve ever questioned whether you’re on the right path, whether you’re enough, or whether what you desire is truly possible, I want to share something that has resonated deeply with me: a baby’s steps are giant leaps for an ant.
Sometimes, we demand too much of ourselves. We want every action to be perfect and every step to be massive. But growth doesn’t always feel grand. Every little step is part of the process of building what we dream of. And even on the days when we can only move forward just a little, it still counts as progress.
And if you desire it—if it lives in your mind and heart—it’s because it already exists in some way. Maybe it hasn’t materialized in this reality yet, but from a quantum perspective, it is already part of you. Your job is not to doubt its existence but to keep building it with patience and trust.
Tools to Refocus Your Energy and Return to Your Purpose

📝 Write Your Vision as If It’s Already Happening
Take a few minutes to journal about what it feels like to have already achieved what you want. Not from a “someday” perspective, but as if it’s happening now. What does your life look like when you’re already living your dream? How do you feel? This practice not only strengthens your commitment but also aligns your energy with that reality.
☕ Create a Reconnection Ritual
It can be as simple as drinking a cup of tea in silence every morning while thinking about your purpose or dancing to a song that ignites your inner spark. Find a small moment that reminds you why you’re doing what you’re doing and make it part of your routine.
🌀 Have an Anchor Mantra
Something you can repeat to yourself in moments of doubt. It could be: “I am on the right path, every step counts” or “I trust my process and my vision.” Write it on a sticky note, say it out loud, carry it with you.
👥 Surround Yourself with People Who Remind You of Who You Are
Talking to people who understand and appreciate your journey can be transformative. Sometimes, we just need someone to reflect back what we already know deep down: that we are capable, that we deserve what we dream of, and that we are on the right path.

Don’t wait for big achievements to recognize your efforts. Every small action counts. Every day you choose not to give up is a victory. Give yourself credit for that.
This journey isn’t about never doubting yourself—it’s about learning to come back to your vision, again and again. No matter how many times you get distracted or feel lost. What truly matters is recentering ourselves.
Because what you desire is already yours. You just have to keep walking toward it. 💫
